Dartford Skatepark Saturday 27th September

A group of local skateboarders from Faversham decided to do something on a Sunny Saturday and skate another town and Venture off. Myself, Arni & Callum decided to set off and skate The 7ft Half pipe at Bexleyheath, behind Asda. We left at 10am stopped of on route for a McD Breakfast I must add was the first in ages.

Halfpipe Asda - Bexleyheath

We arrived at the halfpipe in good time, all the locals where out sitting on the grass, some skating flat in a nearby tennis court and a few sitting eating munch on the top of the halfpipe. Must say that the locals all where friendly chaps at Bexleyheath and welcomed us instantly. Which ended with them showing us an impressive perfect undercover 7 stair set. Perfect run up and perfect landing. Arni was the first to land it. Then a game of skate started.

Cineworld car-park 7 set -Bexleyheath.

We where just rounding off when Kelly, Robin and the gang heard about all the fun, they decided to bring a car full of cronies from Faversham to Dartford park. We decided to then meet up with them and arrived to greet them.

Into the car and off we go. We arrived at the park around 3:30pm. There to meet us was Kelly, Robin, Brandon, Dom, Kyle and the girls some skating and some grazing on the surrounding grass and the rather impressive Dartford Locals. That had the feel to the park, unlike us.

The park is a bit small, but compared to Faversham it's giant. I will admit that with the skaters and BMX riders combined, it does get a bit tight and seems to be more dominated by the bikes especially the bowl areas, leaving just the small street section to skate. Only Arni would have the brass enough to just drop in that bowl and go for it, she definitely doesn’t let anything get in her way of a good skate.

Left to right (Arni is a happy bunny) (Arni rock to Fakie)

It took a while to get warmed up and getting the basic feel of the park, however after time everyone was busting out some tricks and landing them. Including some lovely Rock to fakies by Arni.

After a while, the groups belly's started to give a little rumble, we all decided that the best place was to head to the traditional McD. As we made our way through town, the market was packing down, Fruit and vegetables everywhere. Squashed on the floor. Almost like a big street fruit cocktail.

Arni and callum decided to sod off to Subway. Finally getting to the golden arches, most where rather disappointed that there where no Big Tasty's with Bacon.

The weather for the day was surprisingly  beautiful for England. The Sunset was defiantly worth seeing. Everyone skated in the warm glow of orange sun and skating till the very end. till the Sun was out of sight, another day

One other thing we need to mention is the awesome little boys that gave us a good show that night, they were like little dynamite. They were great!! Robin and Kelly even had a go on the boards, but Robin was more daring and actually tried dropping in, not a great success story to be told there. Lol.Just goes to show it doesn’t matter how old, young, a boy or a girl it is all about skating and loving it.

3 day Trip...

Great news for us, we are about to sign an exclusive deal with the lads at
the-works skatepark in Leeds, who will be printing our new range of t-shirts. Being skaters themselves knowing what to expect and with their motive and their passion will work together to create some of the best t-shirts yet.

With an introduction to a few new designs that have yet to be decided on, I can't wait to see the out come. Cheers Lads.... looking forward to it....

I have ideas of taking a trip to leads, skating the park some street, whilst at it get the sexy new t-shirts printed while we skate. Then bring them back down finished. We could hire out the Ford passenger vehicle that we used to go to Stoke not to long ago. So if your interested... Let me know..

The cost of the trip is still being decided, leeds is about 4-hr drive. the route take us past Milton Keynes, all the way up the M1... so if we leave early enough we will be able to stop off at the bus shelter...

Just like the previous tour, all is welcome to come along, any other ideas just comment this post.

Let me know if your interested.
